Bodytalk Terms & Conditions

General
  1. All our therapists are fully trained and qualified to provide consistency in client care and treatments.
  2. The client agrees to pay the charges set out and to comply with all respects of salon procedure and terms & conditions.
  3. The salon reserves the right to increase treatment charges at any time.
  4. All treatments must be paid in full at the end of each salon appointment. Credit will not be given in any circumstances.
  5. All treatment charges include VAT at the relevant rate.
  6. All treatments under £20 must be paid in cash.
  7. Payment for treatment over £20 will be accepted in the following methods Cash, Maestro, Delta, Visa, Solo, Electron and MasterCard.
  8. Courses of treatments purchased in advance are valid for 12 months from date of first appointment, once purchased courses of treatments are non-refundable, whether all treatments are redeemed or not.
  9. Gift vouchers are valid for 3 months from date of purchase.
Health & Safety
  1. All new clients will have an initial confidential consultation; with the exception of laser hair removal this consultation is free of charge.
  2. For both your own health & safety and that of Bodytalk personnel all clients must notify the salon of any health conditions, allergies or diseases (e.g. TB, Hepatitis B & C, HIV, Epilepsy, Diabetes)
  3. Clients must inform the salon if they are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breast feeding.
  4. Please carefully adhere to the aftercare you will be given at the end of electrolysis, red vein treatment, laser hair removal, waxing teeth whitening, body treatments, tanning and facial treatments. The salon will not be responsible for any injury or damage occurring as a result of failing to follow the advice supplied.
  5. A skin test will be carried out at least 24hrs hours before eyelash/eyebrow tinting where it is the first time a client has had this treatment at Bodytalk.
  6. Verrucas must be covered to avoid cross-contamination
  7. Clients with cold sore cannot be treated near the affected area unless this area can be isolated
  8. To maintain the standards and professionalism of the salon you are kindly requested not to bring babies or children into the salon.
  9. Clients are respectfully requested to ensure that mobile phones are switched off before arrival at the salon.
Appointments
  1. Clients are kindly requested to arrive at the scheduled appointment on time. Clients arriving late will have their appointment reduced to remaining time and the full appointment charge will be payable.
  2. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice provided will be charged full appointment fee.
  3. The salon reserves the right to remove clients who are abusive to members of staff and/or clients.
General
  1. The salon will not be liable for any loss or damage caused or contributed to by the negligence of or breach of the terms and conditions by a client.
  2. The salon does not accept any liability for damage or loss of personal effects belonging to clients during or following a treatment.
  3. All complaints must be submitted in writing detailing the nature of the complaint within one month of the treatment.
  4. All information received from a client is treated in strict confidence.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Scottish Law
